runs on MIPS processor. For storage the user could
use compact flash cards of various capacities. The
touch screen panel is 8.2 inches colored LCD with
a software keyboard. External USB mouse, USB Keyboard
or USB communication device can be used by the USB
Jack. It also has a serial I/O port which is used
for communicating with your desktop PC/Laptop. It
has a built in speaker and a microphone & an external
mike and head phone jack. |

also has PCMCIA Type II slot which can be used with
either GSM phone cards or wireless LAN devices for
wire free access. The company is already in talks
with leading companies for tie-ups in providing such
wire free devices which should work either on Blue
Tooth technology or could use the GSM Network. Communication
could also be done either through the serial port
or through the IrDA port. It has a rechargeable NiMH
battery with 6 to 8 hours operating life. |

PC slate is provided with a stylus, which is used
instead of a mouse to write on the touch screen and
resembles the traditional paper – pen pattern. The
Handwriting Recognition being used with this hardware
is less cumbersome than some of the Personal Digital
Assistance (PDA’s) as it recognizes your entire sentence
& paragraphs and you can write in running handwriting
instead of writing letter by letter. |

has a colored touch screen display area of half the
size of an A4 size paper. The company feels that this
size is ideal for people to read, scribble, or do
various functions with ease. |

hardware has a Windows® CE 3.0 operating system with
Pocket Word, Internet Explorer & Inbox (e-mail manager).
Apart from these softwares, the hardware will also
contain various applications like scheduler, contacts,
